The iconic Marbella Club was the first hotel on the Costa del Sol, opening in 1954. Formerly an aristocratic mansion, the hotel is situated on the Golden Mile, directly between Marbella and Puerto Banús. It has entertained royalty, the rich and the famous for the past seven decades and still is a place for 5* luxury and VIPs. Initially designed to showcase the relaxed, bohemian, fun and cool life on the shores of the Mediterranean, the class and sophistication still exist, with an array of suites and villas, along with the famous Champagne Room.
In a project alongside Puente Romano, Grey Nickel promoted the hotel’s Marbella Club Golf Resort. A short drive, located in the mountains behind the hotels, the golf course has a stunning view across the Mediterranean. The project specifically tasked Grey Nickel with increasing the volume of golf specific enquiries to the Marbella Club. Although primarily a luxury leisure hotel, golf was seen to be one of the main contributing factors to the buying process. Working alongside the travel trade, PGA pros and golf clubs, the hotel was presented at various events and golf days.
35 rooms, 80 suites and 14 two, three, four and five-bedroom villas, aswell as a selection of Grand Villas, all with an Andalucian style, situated in the heart of the resort.
There are 42,000m² of subtropical botanical garden at the hotel. A lot of the plants were introduced by the original owner, Prince Alfonso von Hohenlohe who brought exotic species from his travels around the world.
With the beach club, four restaurants, Dave Thomas golf course, horse riding centre and the renowned Kids’ Club, there is no shortage of leisure activities to entertain everyone.
