The Marbella Club

Andalucia, Spain

The iconic Marbella Club was the first hotel on the Costa del Sol, opening in 1954. Formerly an aristocratic mansion, the hotel is situated on the Golden Mile, directly between Marbella and Puerto Banús. It has entertained royalty, the rich and the famous for the past seven decades and still is a place for 5* luxury and VIPs. Initially designed to showcase the relaxed, bohemian, fun and cool life on the shores of the Mediterranean, the class and sophistication still exist, with an array of suites and villas, along with the famous Champagne Room.

In a project alongside Puente Romano, Grey Nickel promoted the hotel’s Marbella Club Golf Resort. A short drive, located in the mountains behind the hotels, the golf course has a stunning view across the Mediterranean. The project specifically tasked Grey Nickel with increasing the volume of golf specific enquiries to the Marbella Club. Although primarily a luxury leisure hotel, golf was seen to be one of the main contributing factors to the buying process. Working alongside the travel trade, PGA pros and golf clubs, the hotel was presented at various events and golf days.
