High above Lake Lucerne

It was a short, early morning drive from the town of Brunnen. After enjoying the hospitality of the Brunner Hof Bar with Top 100 Golf Courses and Golf Monthly, our road trip around golf in Switzerland headed to the Golf Club Axenstein.

The 9-hole course was built in 1922 and sits proudly, 700 metres above sea level. Huge elevation changes, blind tee shots, ravines and the backdrop of the Mythen mountain range in the Swiss alps makes this course a special treat.

It’s not always about the big names and the must plays, but for a unique experience, this is not to be missed. The images tell their own story!
